I think I may have gotten sober? So I recently gave up alcohol for my first ever Lent (despite being raised in the church I didn't realize it was 40 days, fml) and somehow I did not immediately yeet myself off the sobriety wagon when it ended. My brother actually sent an extra beer home with me on Easter Sunday and I was mostly unimpressed with the brain muddle that resulted from drinking it. I thought that experience might be an anomaly but I ended up so stressed out over spreading myself too thin this weekend that I resorted to getting some very weak beer (2%) to try to power myself through editing a friend's story-

And I hated the feeling of drinking it. Maybe it's a coincidence but I am very fucking weird after being tipsy on Friday, like crawling out of my skin anxious and exhausted right now. Fortunately I have therapy on Tuesday to hopefully sort the feelings out, I won't be able to afford it soon but I would say that three months of venting two decades of mental health issues has possible decreased the urge to numb.

Two Series Recommendations

So My Hero Academia is ending

I have two series I would recommend

First on a light note:

Psych House, it is a new series only having 12 chapters as I'm writing this, accessable on Viz with a Shonen Jump subscription, which I'm sure many people already have as it's one of the ways to read MHA, it even comes out on Sundays as well

The story so far is light hearted following Kotone a high school girl with the power to teleport objects, joining a house for people with powers. The setting has it so only a few people have powers, or as they call them psychs, they aren't being hunted down or going to large lengths to hide them, they just aren't well known

Now especially for my fellow disappointed villain Stans I recommend Empowered by Adam Warren

Now heads up the series starts as a bondage fetish comic with hints of meta-awareness and seriousness, but much like how Bojack Horseman started as a comedy that turned into a serious drama, it is now a much more serious meta comic with hints of the bondage

It does a much better job of presenting its protagonist as an underdog as while they give their protagonist Empowered (or Emp for short) threatening villains, she is presented as the underdog to other heroes. They do a good job balancing her powers so it feels realistic both when she's struggling and when she does win. This is largely because she's set up as a glass cannon with a lot of mystery around her powers.

Emp wants to save everyone, not just the convenient, she treats her villains and fellow heroes with respect even when no one else does and she isn't. One of the other characters has capitán as part of their name, and while everyone else goes to the English pronunciation, Emp calls him his proper title.

Emp is also capable of being made and upset at her situation and being screwed over, and who screw her over. If she forgives someone, it's because they earn it, not some halfassed and performative apology.

With big bads there are three roles that they filled out a lot better. A mysterious and incredibly dangerous threat, well Willy Pete just wiped out a lot of capes, and remains an ongoing threat. A tragic villain that can't be saved, how about a telepath that started making edits to his perceived flaws, removing things like empathy, fear, and compassion. A hypocrite, how about a guy who has been bullying Emp right along side everyone else, and when he claims it was her suffering that inspired him to take revenge, he demands sexual favors to not kill her boyfriend and best friend who never joined in with and was against the bullying

You've been trying to get ahold of Noir's attention in your shared apartment for sometime; well more so a couple days, But he seemed as if he'd become one of the monochromatic shadows that lingered inside your apartment; only staying around during the day, lurking about. Only occasionally reappearing through the night when lights were flicked on.

You sat inside the shared bedroom, it now ached with a empty feeling stretching over the bed and over you. Although you were sure Noir's job as Spiderman was hard. But it had put a toll on you; a painful toll you weren't sure you could handle much longer.. Your heart ached. Your eyes shined with tears creeping up; your (e/c) eyes shimmered as they watered; the hot and warm tears quickly trickled down your face, You did your best to cry quietly but you felt yourself slowly choke out a sob.

The bedroom window made a soft crack sound as it was parted from its windowsill, You paused quickly pushing the sob back down. The tears on your face illuminated by the moonlight's soft touch.

Noir stepped through the window and moved closer to you, He cupped your cheek tilting your head down as he crouched infront of you. He spoke softly "Doll?... Have you been crying?.." You wanted to pull away from his intoxicating touch, the way his gloved hand felt on your face just made you melt, But not tonight, you weren't going to give in to his touch.

You pulled back from his touch. "W-Where have you been Peter..?" You stutter before quickly squeezing your eyes shut; you take a deep breath, the palms of your hands rested on your knees. "Where have you been?..., I've been worried about you!- I feel like you just disappear entirely sometimes and you make me so anxious!- A-And sometimes I worry if you're still okay!" You continued to stutter, you started to raise your voice over yourself, Your voice shook; it trembled as you closed your eyes tightly.

Noir noticed this and took your hands in his, he tilted your head so you would look at him. "I'm sorry darling.., I didn't realize it impacted you so hard.." He apologized But you turned your head away, you couldn't bear listening to his halfassed ' sorry's '

"I can't do this anymore..," You spoke out looking away. You loved Noir dearly but you knew you'd never be able to comfort his hurting cold heart. "I'm sorry Noir..."

"Darling.." He spoke up more confidently, his gloved hand lightly touched your arm. "Please let me make this right..," You hesitated but pulled away from the light touch of his gloved fingertips against your skin. The feeling of his leathery gloves against your bare arm made you shiver.

"Goodbye Peter," You spoke quickly, picking up your belongings and slipping on your jacket leaving before he could say another word.

The other reason I don’t necessarily want to give him the yandere label is bc most of the time (from what I’ve read at least) yanderes usually don’t have their darling’s best interest at heart/can be okay with them being hurt or in danger

That shit would NEVER fly with Tate

I wrote a whole drabble about this but I know a lot of people have said Tate would kill you so you can be in the house with him forever

There’s an element of selflessness that Tate possesses that gives him an important distinction from the yandere archetype

And he’s proved this by acting selflessly for your benefit over and over 

Even when there is literally zero chance for him to get anything out of it

Because his motivations regarding you are genuinely selfless

Hellooooo back to jmj hcs this is a short one like a compact version of hcs (this edition specially based on the outfits and wives behaviour they had at the airport today)

-jm bribes mj with food whenever mj gets jealous or mad because jm is on her phone and doesn't pay attention to her, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and she has to do something else like give every single second of her attention to mj and pamper her like crazy for a few days

-they have these little "gamer and viewer" sessions where they are lazing around in bed or somewhere else and jm is sat down with mj on her lap and either mj plays with her nintendo switch or jm plays gardenscapes and they just lay back and enjoy the gameplay with free cuddles and kisses included

-mj has definitely pestered jm to propose to her at some point, but jm has told her to be patient cause it will come someday, after all it's too early in their careers (and probably they didn't have the gf label until less than 2 years ago), and also jm wants the proposal to be as perfect as possible, so sadly mj will have to wait at least a few more years to get wifed up

-this is sorta a continuation of my last point, they definitely treat each other as wives (this has started happening maybe less than two years ago too) and jm calls mj wifey for sure
